Black Ceramics for which Marginea is famous is world-known is obtained through a prehistoric technique of burning and ornamenting the pots using a river stone. This procedure used by the potters in Marginea is unique.  A similar ceramics is produced somewhere in Mexico.
This kind of Ceramics is only made inside the workshop of Magopãţ family. The place is visited every year by many tourists and famous people: Japan’s Emperor, Romania’s king, the Queen of the Netherlands, Iran’s Sahinsah, Canada’s Governor and all the Ambassadors present in Romania.
